Getting Started With Production, Logistics & Distribution
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (PHILIPPINE TIME)
Now that you’ve planned out your product line, your next step is to move into production. We’ve invited key representatives from GA Printing, Lazada Philippines and Blitz Delivery to share their tips and best practices for small business owners.
This roundtable will guide you through the process of getting your product printed, launching on an e-commerce platform,
to sending it out to your customer.
MARKETING DIRECTORY, GA PRINTING
GA Printing was incorporated in 1976 as an ancillary service of its sister company, Graphic Atelier Manila (GAMI), in order to facilitate delivery of print collaterals to its clients. GA started its operation with a small duplicating machine to print office stationery – letterheads, envelopes and business cards.
It has since grown to be a medium-sized commercial print shop, employing 65 people and a number of subcontractors. We strongly believe that good quality moves companies forward. This is why for more than 40 years, we have always made sure to provide excellent products and services to our most discerning clients. Through this belief, we have become one of the leading quality commercial printers in the country today.
CEO, BLITZ DELIVERY
Jerry Tieng is a technopreneur who started coding when he was 12 and founded his first startup right in his bedroom. He designed and developed ERP and HR systems for Top 100 companies.
Since selling digital cameras online in the mid-90's, he has come full circle after starting Blitz Delivery two years ago and several new online stores during the ECQ - selling frozen goods, coffee, and household essentials.
He has a keen interest in helping fellow founders and online merchants in the ecommerce space to help redefine customer experiences as a digital logistics frontliner.
KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER,
Bessie is a Key Account Manager for the Lifestyle team at Lazada Philippines and she has experience in managing sellers & brands under the Music and Books category.
A firm believer of Lazada’s mission in accelerating progress through commerce and technology in Southeast Asia, she is fueled by her passion in helping MSMEs in the Philippines grow their business through the Lazada platform.
BUILDING YOUR CREATIVE CONFIDENCE
2:00PM - 4:00PM (PHILIPPINE TIME)
In the age of social media and self-promotion, how do artists start sharing their work online? Where does confidence come from, and how can we nurture a better relationship with ourselves as creative people? For this artist roundtable, we’ve invited some of the best Filipino artists and designers to talk about building your creative confidence. Join Dan Matutina, Ian Sta. Maria, Asa Montenejo, Liza Flores and Robert Alejandro as they share insights and experiences on finding inspiration, beating artist’s block and building their creative career.
Robert Alejandro is a graduate of Fine Arts from the University of the Philippines, and an award-winning graphic artist, an illustrator, a painter, a crafter, and one of the pillars of Filipino arts and design shop Papemelroti. He is a founding member of Illustrador ng Kabataan (INK), an organization of children’s book illustrators. For a time, he worked as a correspondent for the news program, The Probe Team. He knew, however, that he was an artist since birth, and has also hosted the popular television show “Art Is-Kool”.
Liza Flores is an award-winning illustrator. She has illustrated 20 children's books, including The Secret is in the Soil (2012 National Children’s Book Awards Best Reads), But That Won't Wake Me Up (2012 Filipino Reader's Choice Awards), and long-time favorites Chenelyn! Chenelyn! and Ang Mabait na Kalabaw. She is a long-time member and past president of Ilustrador ng Kabataan (INK).
Liza is also a professional designer. She's a Fine Arts graduate from the University of the Philippines. She runs a boutique design studio in Manila that specializes in identity design, environmental graphic design and illustration.
Inky Livie is Asa Montenejo, designer/illustrator who likes to create paper goods with a little personality. Starting out in 2007 as an Etsy shop based in California, she has enjoyed working with customers who are drawn to the not-so-conventional. When she came back home to Manila in 2012, she found a new audience for her very Pinoy humor-injected goodies. She gets the greatest kick out of watching people giggle while reading her cards, and notepads, and is always very pleasantly surprised when someone appreciates her Karinyo Brutal gift tags.
IAN STA. MARIA
Ian Sta. Maria is the Author and Illustrator of the book, Salamangka. He is also the co-creator and artist of National Bookstore’s best selling graphic novels Skyworld volume one and two, co-creator and artist of the comic book Sixty Six (also known as “Mr. TIno” internationally), co-creator and artist of other titles such as Kadasig and Seven Gifts of the Skygods. He has had more than fifteen years as an advertising creative in Manila before moving to Denmark where he currently works as Senior Concept artist for LEGO.
